Pollen is a male micro gametophyte of a seed plant in which pollen is used to transfer haploid male genetic material from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower in cross-pollination.

People have an immune system that protects the body from harmful invaders (such as viruses and bacteria) and thus protects against disease. But for people who are allergic to pollen, the immune system mistakenly identifies harmless pollen as a dangerous intruder. It began to produce chemicals to fight pollen.
