Organic White Beeswax

Beeswax(Cera alba) is a natural wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. The wax is formed into "scales" by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees, which discard it in or at the hive. The hive workers collect and use it to form cells for honey storage and larval and pupal protection within the beehive. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols. 

Beeswax has long-standing applications in human food and flavoring. For example, it is used as a glazing agent or as a light/heat source. It is edible, in the sense of having similar negligible toxicity to plant eaxes, and is approved for food use in most countries. 

Product Details

Characteristics: White to Ivory color of varying intensity with a fine-grain matt, non-crystalline fracture. Becomes soft and pliable when warmed by hand. Odor faint and characteristic of honey. Relative density is about 0.96. Practically insoluble in water, completely soluble in volatile and fixed oils.

Processing: The very highest grade Lemon colored crude beeswax is gently melted over clean un-treated bore water and is then allowed to settle. The color is then removed using an organic and sustainable method. The beeswax is then micro-filtered to remove all dross before being passed through a pelletising machine. The pellets which are formed, are cylindrical. The pellets drop directly from the pelletiser into plastic-lined cartons.

5). In beekeeping, it can be used to manufacture beeswax foundations and wax bowls.
6). In the material industry, it can be used to manufacture cerecloth, lubricants, and coatings, etc.
7). Beeswax also has very high medicinal value.
