1. The color of real honey is transparent or translucent. Because real honey contains some protein, biological enzymes, minerals and pollen and other components, it does not look very clear, it is white, light yellow or amber, and light color is better. Because the fake honey is boiled with white sugar or pretended to be syrup, the color is bright, generally light yellow or dark yellow

2. Real honey is a viscous liquid, which can be seen as flexible filaments and flows continuously. Fake honey has suspended matter or sediment, low viscosity, and falls in a drop shape when picked up, and there is no flow. Real honey became thinner after exposure to sunlight, while fake honey remained the same or became more viscous. If the honey is very thin and easy to flow, it may be mixed with water

3. The smell of real honey is pure and natural, with a slight plant-flavored floral fragrance, while fake honey smells pungent or fruity.

4. Real honey is sweet and delicious, with a sticky mouth feel, a slight sour taste, and a long aftertaste. Fake honey has a bitter taste or chemical smell, no aromatic taste, and the crystallized block chews like sugar, with a crisp and loud sound.

5. Check the product labels carefully. Some honey products list ingredients such as sucrose, white sugar, fructose syrup, high fructose syrup, etc., which are not allowed for real honey products. The honey label can only write what kind of flower honey, or pure honey. Impossible to be false honey that has been replaced by a concept such as honey cream and honey drink

6. Honey mixed with flour, starch or cornmeal is cloudy in color and not sweet enough in taste. Put a small amount of honey into a cup, add an appropriate amount of water to boil, and after cooling, add a few drops of rice wine and shake well. If the solution turns blue, red, or purple, it means that there is starch in the honey.

7. Insert a red-hot iron wire into the honey. If it is good honey, you can see clear smoke coming out after the wire is inserted, but you can still smell the fragrance of melons, fruits and flowers. If it is mixed with white sugar, it will emit a burnt smell.

8. Take one part of honey, add two parts of cold boiled water and four parts of 95% alcohol, mix well and leave it for a day and night. If there is no impurity precipitated, it means the quality is pure.

9. After shaking the real honey in summer, there will be a lot of bubbles in the honey, which makes the honey easily rise out of the honey bottle. But after standing for 1-2 days, the bubbles will disappear automatically, but when you open the honey bottle, there will be gas rushing out! This is mainly due to the bactericide hydrogen peroxide contained in natural honey. Hydrogen peroxide easily decomposes to produce oxygen at high temperature! So that there is a layer of white bubbles on the surface of the honey! Winter is also quite simple, put honey in 30-40 degrees hot water for 4-5 minutes, then use chopsticks to stir the honey 10-20 times, then let it stand for a while, the surface of pure natural honey will have bubbles.
