From the perspective of national standards, the first compulsory national standard of honey (gb18796-2005) was issued by the National Standards Committee in 2005. It should be said that this national standard has played an important role in regulating the quality of honey products and purifying the honey market in China. 

In order to strengthen the leadership of food safety work, in 2010, the State Council adjusted the division of labor and functions of national ministries and commissions in accordance with the food safety law. 

The all China Federation of supply and marketing cooperation also issued the industry standard of honey from the perspective of regulating the industry, and made clear Provisions on product quality.

In terms of honey product quality control, the State Administration of quality supervision began to implement the production license system for honey products on September 1, 2006, and carry out QS certification for honey enterprises. 

China Bee Products Association has actively participated in the formulation of certification standards and conditions of national quality supervision department. It has formulated unified standards from the aspects of plant site environment, plant conditions, workshop layout, mechanical equipment, production process, storage facilities, product inspection and rules and regulations, and carried out on-site inspection and acceptance of honey production enterprises nationwide.
